Nigerian Senator, Isa Misau, has denounced making any allegation against the President’s wife Aisha Buharin involving him and the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.
It was earlier reported on Thursday that the Senator representing Bauchi Central in the upper chamber accused IGP Idris of giving the First Lady two SUVs.
He reportedly raised the accusations when he appeared before the Senate Ad Hoc committee on investigation of various allegations levelled against the Police.
Now, shortly after plenary today, Senator Misau took to his Twitter account to elucidate the matter while making sure the First Lady’s name was duly cleared.

3. IGP Idris LEAKED correspondence w/ @MBuhari, COS, Dir. NIPSS, ADC @aishambuhari & CPSO @MBuhari to d public in docs filed at FCT H/Court.— Sen Isah Hamma Misau (@SenIsahMisau) October 26, 2017
4. Shocked to find docs & minutes of @MBuhari & top govt officials carelessly paraded in public by IGP in clear BREACH of Official Secrecy.— Sen Isah Hamma Misau (@SenIsahMisau) October 26, 2017
5. I query d motive behind such indiscretion given tht said docs have little or no bearing on d matter of malpractice @PoliceNG. Suspicious!— Sen Isah Hamma Misau (@SenIsahMisau) October 26, 2017
6. My submission to the C'ttee was simply to call attention to how IGP Idris is unethically dropping names by filing secret docs in Court.— Sen Isah Hamma Misau (@SenIsahMisau) October 26, 2017
7. Again, I make it abundantly clear: IGP Idris submitted official docs mentioning names of respected personalities. NOT ME.— Sen Isah Hamma Misau (@SenIsahMisau) October 26, 2017
8. I urge the press and public to be wary of any attempt to obfuscate the issues. Indeed, eternal vigilance is the price for freedom.— Sen Isah Hamma Misau (@SenIsahMisau) October 26, 2017
