Ogenyi Onazi scored his third goal of the season for Trabzonspor.
Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi scored for Trabzonspor as they defeated Yeni Malatyaspor 4-1 in a Turkish Super Lig game on Sunday, March 18.
The Super Eagles midfielder who recently stated that he is not worried about the 2018 FIFA World Cup, was action for the entire 90 minutes for Trabzonspor.The 25-year-old who just recently returned from injury, received a yellow card in the 61 minute.
Onazi however made amends in the 86 minute as he scored the game's final goal Trabzonspor.
Also in the match was compatriot Azubuike Okechukwu who was part of Nigeria under 23 football team to the 2016 Olympics and like Onazi he was also in action for the full 90 minutes for Malatyaspor.
The Super Eagles assistant captain posted on his official Instagram account to celebrate his goal for his clubside.
Other goalscorers for Trabzonspor were Burak Yilmaz and a brace from Yusuf Yazici.
Trabzonspor are now fifth on the table with 42 points as they continue to chase an Europa League qualification spot.
Onazi is among the 28 players invited by Gernot Rohr for the Super Eagles two international friendlies against Poland in Wroclaw Friday, March 23 and Serbia in London on Tuesday, March 27.
