How long will I wait
for? How are they not running it? No link clicks... Everything have dash n
zeros
This are many of the
questions newbies in Facebook ads users ask themselves when they get stuck on broken ads.
There are many things that can cause your Facebook
Advert not to serve
Great... Now you
know the problems or here are possible solutions?
·
BUDGET
·
TARGET
·
TOO
MUCH EDITS ON ADS WITHIN A SHORT TIME
·
IMAGE
Err, can I address each
point? Of course, that’s why I created this excellent article.
BUDGET
Sometimes, people set
really low budgets for ads, Facebook will approve it but it will not serve (BY serve, I mean zero impressions or clicks
or conversions)
TARGET
Your audience may be too
low or too broad. e.g. setting an ad and using the following as your audience
target
* Age range 18
- 20
* Interest Twerking
* Gender Male
The reach may be too low
and Facebook will not serve your ads in such an instance as it it a precise
target and the audience for the target may be very
low
EDITS
Some people are in the
habit of setting
up ads and editing it several
times when it is approved or before it is approved.
When you set up an ad,
Facebook locks your target and begins to feed to that target. If you change the
target or budget, confusion begins for Facebook as most ads are not approved manually (the computer approves and
serves to your
target)
IMAGE
This comes in a several
phases
1. The image may be too small or too big for the that particular ads
e.g. Page
like ads: The recommended size is 1200 x 628
Link clicks is 1200 x 444 (i think, not entirely sure)
Slideshow ads is 1200 x 720
When you set up an ad
and don't use the recommended image, Facebook will accept it and it can affect
your ads delivery, it won't serve.
2. The image may have too much text; Facebook prefers you
set images with less text for ads. Once the image has too much text, it becomes irrelevant and
affects the ad's serving.
3. Some people use pictures that are against
Facebooks policy e.g. nudes. You can be lucky and they'll approve the ads but
believe me you're wasting your time!
Check the ad you set up
1. Is it against Facebook's policy?
2. Is the image right for the ad?
3. Is the audience good i.e. targeting
4. Check your budget
5. If you've over edited the ad, just make it
inactive and set up another from scratch
Oops! That was a rush.
